Hello, I am Chong You. In this blog post, I will be
discussing about a subset of Christianity, Catholicism. Even though it
is similar to Christianity, there are several similarities differences
between Catholicism and Christianity.
Introduction to Catholicism
Catholicism is a form of Christianity and makes up part of
the Christian community in the world. The word “Catholic” is adopted
from Greek language, which means “universal”. The worldwide Catholic
Church is led by a Pope, which is the leader of the worldwide Catholic
Church. The current Pope of the worldwide Catholic Church is Pope
Francis, which begins his term on March 13, 2013. He succeeded Pope
Benedict XVI, which served in office between April 19, 2005 and February
28, 2013.
That is all I have to offer for today. Next week, I will
continue to elaborate on the similarities and differences between
Catholics and Christians and more on the history of Catholicism. Please
do not forget to comment on, like and share this post with your friends
and family and follow our blog if you are impressed with the content
that me and other blog members are putting up.
